Following are some theory & laboratory studies on
  1. "Jute Geotextile In Civil Engineering Applications" by N.Som,
  2. "Jute Geotextile For Roads" by S. D. Ramaswami and M A Aziz and
  3. "Jute Geotextile Solutions For Surface And Subsurface Drainage" by S. D. Ramaswami. These studies show the uses of Jute Geotextiles in civil constructions like separation, reinforcement, drainage and filtration functions and can be suitably used in overcoming geotechnical problems of weak soil and are ecologically safe because of its biodegradable nature. Not only that, in these case studies comparison has also been made between Jute Geotextiles and geosythetic through different researches which shows that Jute Geotextiles are much more safer, durable and eco-friendly than synthetic materials used in civil constructions.
Given below is the case study which comprises of four different researches on the uses of Jute fabrics or jute geotextiles in improving soil's and road's condition named,

  2. "Application Of Jute Geotextile In Improving Permeability Of Sub Soil" by Satyendra Mittal, P. K. Choudhury, T. Sanyal and B. Chandrashekhar,
  3. "Influence Of Geojute Reinforcement On Thickness Reduction of Flexible Pavement- A Model Study" by S. Chakrabarti ,G. Bhandari and (iv) "Development Of Asphalt Overclay Fabric From Jute" by (Ms) M. Ghosh, P. K. Banerjee and G. V. Rao. These studies deal with different types of jute fabrics and their contribution in improving soil quality. It has also been proved that jute geotextile is very effective in soil permeability. Other study proves that Geojute is effective in improving bearing capacity of sub-grade soil at low cost and is eco-friendly too. While an experiment has been made on pavement models without any embedded fabrics and with commercial fabrics which proves that pavement models with leno based products perform much better than other commercial fabrics.
Different researches and studies have been made on Jute Geotextile and its uses to prove its effectiveness on different fields. Some of them are given below. These are

These case studies deals with how (a)Jute Geotextile is effective in soil bio-engineering by using it in the control of soil slope erosion in natural way, (Jute Geotextiles uses in disposing Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) without effecting the drainage system, Fly ash which is used in the construction of embankments abutments, as a backfill material of retaining walls and as a base and sub-base material of roads can be strengthen by Jute Geotextiles. There is a study which says the quality of soil becomes better with aging in reinforcing soil bed in spite of the fact that it is made up of bio degradable Jute Geotextiles. While other study reveals that Jute Geotextile is not only useful in making small roads, but it should also be in the construction of highway because of its environment friendly nature.

Venisiri which is about a research on an embankment construction with the use of Jute Geotextiles as a base for is reinforcement, though it lasts only for seven months because of its biodegradable nature but it has been proven by this research that embankment seemed more stable in the soft days because of jute`s high absorbing quality.

Sharma, which is a field research on different parts of India which proves that Jute Geotextiles' degradable nature is its advantage because of its eco-friendly nature, comes at low cost and its life can be extended if it is used judiciously and conjointly with other factors,
  4. Controlling Land slops With Jute Geotextiles by TapobrataSanyal, which explains through a research that after using Jute Geotextiles in controlling the soil erosion by land slopes. It has been proved by this study that Jute Geotextile usage in land slopes were tremendous as moisture control reached below wilting point in 7 days after a rainfall of 20mm and
  5. Jute Geotextile In Hill Slope Management – Case Studies In Sikkim And Meghalaya by TapobrataSanyal Sunil Verma P.K. Choudhury. This study was conducted on the two different hill slopes of Sikkim and Meghalaya. After the use of Jute Geotextiles on these hill slopes for controlling the soil erosion and its vegetation the experts came to the conclusion that for the proper utilisation of Jute Geotextile in soil erosion control one of the most important thing that should be kept in mind is the type of soil which do vary from each other. Therefore, one should always check for the characteristics, quality of soil and its level of moisturiser before using JGT.
