National Jute Board

The National Jute Board [A Statutory Body set up by the National Jute Board Act, 2008 Act No.12 of 2009] under the administrative control of the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India has commenced operation with effect  from the 1^st April 2010.

The National Jute Board has been constituted by merging the following two organizations :

(1)    Jute Manufactures Development Council (A Statutory Body set up by Jute Manufactures Development Council Act 1983)

(2)    National Centre for Jute Diversification (A Society set up by the Central Government and registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860).

The above two organizations have legally ceased to exist w.e.f 1^st April 2010.

All future communications (meant for Jute Manufactures Development Council and National Centre for Jute Diversification) may now be addressed to :
